Ministry of Public Works – DGA Establishes Water Use Rights Subject to Payment of the Non-Use Fee

On January 15, 2024, the Official Gazette published Resolution No. 3,978, dated December 28, 2023, in which the Directorate General of Water establishes the list of water usage rights subject to payment, for the benefit of the state, of a patent for non-use of the water, for the 2024 process.

Within this process, it is necessary to consider the following deadlines:

Deadline to challenge the resolution (Articles 136 and 137 of the Water Code): February 26, 2024.
Deadline to fulfill the payment obligation (Article 129 bis 7° of the Water Code) without surcharge: March 31, 2024.
